This work was commissioned by Next Step Forward,
a marketing and communications consultancy with whom we work quite
Expand were well established in their market when we got involved.
It was obvious that they needed a more professional appearance to
their identity, and higher quality information and marketing material,
but we needed to ensure that we didn’t simply apply a ‘gloss’
without fully understanding their business needs.
Next Step Forward undertook a ‘brainstorming’ session
with Expand’s partners to determine all the issues we would
need to address while developing the new designs. This process revealed
areas that Next Step Forward would address in the course of their
consultancy and provided us with a clear brief for the first phase
and a firm foundation for all subsequent work.
The design work encompassed a refreshed corporate identity to fit
with their market’s expectations, identifiers for two new
business offerings, printed stationery, business cards and associated
Word and PowerPoint templates.
The major part of this phase of the work was the design of the new
web site, which included diagrammatic explanations of Expand’s
business offerings. We prepared all of the web graphics and specifications
